Early Influences and Musical Journey: The journey of Jackson Colt began when he received his first guitar at the tender age of 9 from a second-hand store. Inspired by legendary bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, and Grand Funk Railroad, Jackson embarked on a musical odyssey fuelled by the raw energy of classic rock. Growing up surrounded by the timeless sounds of Deep Purple, AC/DC, and Def Leppard, Jackson's musical path was set ablaze by the fiery passion of his family's music collection.

Jackson's love affair with the guitar blossomed upon discovering the ground-breaking work of Eddie Van Halen. Drawing inspiration from luminaries such as David Gilmour, Slash, and 80’s shredders like George Lynch and Yngwie Malmsteen, Jackson honed his craft with an unwavering dedication to the instrument. His passion for metal music found expression through the influence of icons like Alexi Laiho and Jeff Loomis, adding depth and dynamism to his evolving sound. Live Performances and Collaborations: Onstage, Jackson Colt delivers a high-octane performance reminiscent of the glory days of 80’s Arena Rock. Backed by a powerhouse ensemble including bassist Dean Gerber, drummer Matthew Safi, and rhythm guitarist Piet Snyman, each member brings their unique flair to the stage, forging an electrifying connection with audiences worldwide. Collaborating closely with South African music luminary Dale Schnettler, known for his work with Prime Circle, as well as The DrumJ Experience and Euphoria, Jackson has elevated his artistry to new heights. Since bursting onto the scene in 2021 with debut singles 'Poison' and 'Angels of Rock', Jackson Colt has continued to captivate audiences with their electrifying sound. Their single 'Echoes' soared to the top of the Mix FM SA Top 40 and garnered critical acclaim across North and South America, as well as in the UK, Australia, and Germany.
